LGBTQ Victory Fund Endorses Jonathan Dromgoole for Arlington County Board
Arlington, VA – Today LGBTQ Victory Fund – the only national organization dedicated to electing LGBTQ people to public office – endorsed Jonathan Dromgoole for Arlington County Board. The endorsement signals Victory Fund’s confidence that Jonathan is well-positioned to win the County race and will be a strong voice for equality once elected. Jonathan would be the second LGBTQ person ever on the County Board and the first out LGBTQ+ Latino elected in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

LGBTQ people remain severely underrepresented in government nationwide – holding just 0.2 percent of elected positions despite representing at least 7.1 percent of the U.S. population, according to LGBTQ Victory Institute. As an out LGBTQ leader, Jonathan will be an unwavering voice for equality on the Arlington County Board. His priorities in office will include promoting small business growth and opportunity, climate resiliency, housing access and affordability, sustainable infrastructure and transportation, and building inclusive communities
